Hey everyone. Forgot about Wikileaks yet? I surmised as much. Add it to the list of things from the past year that we’ve erased from our collective attentions, like News Corp phonehacking, massive bank fraud, and te Gulf Oil Spill.
But here we have a prime example of how Wikileaks is still useful. Why is our government supporting the use of genetically-modified crops? Is it because Monsanto says so? Is our Secretary of Agriculture the man who use to fly for free on Monsanto’s private jet? Why is our government threatening other sovereign nations for banning the use of Roundup Ready crops?
These are difficult questions, and Wikileaks can’t answer them, but it might get us thinking about them, at least until the next natural disaster gives the media an opportunity to ignore real news for a while.
